Community and Culture
Creative community
As a former Co-President of the AIGA Raleigh chapter, I helped advance our mission—to create a place where design thrives for everyone. I ran community meetings, free and open to the public, where we tackled issues in our city together through design.
Creative mentorship
Throughout my career, I coach and mentor designers to connect their skills, interests, and aspirations. I also provide and foster opportunities for regular, actionable feedback for growth in areas of UX design, visual design, research, and strategy.
Creative leadership
I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing clients throughout my career, and I love sharing our stories of what we accomplished together. Most recent webinars: Advocating for responsible tech and How to adapt workshop methods for a remote reality. My work was also featured in Closing the Loop: Systems Thinking for Designers.
Creative energy
I was a part of a talented team that created Hopscotch Design Festival, a sister festival to Hopscotch Music. A two-day gathering of designers, thinkers, and storytellers shaping what’s next, Hopscotch ignited the city with creative energy and made Raleigh a design destination.
